Designing for the web can seem (at times) like walking (often running) the wrong way on the airport conveyor belt. The Internet is always in a state of increasing complexity and emerging [versions 1.0,2.0,3.0] order. There are so many different streams to approach all of the aspects of web design without even considering the local community (Asheville, North Carolina) requirements for web design. Lately I have been running on that conveyor belt trying to get ahead of that damn curve phenomena, to integrate disparate tools. so as to come up with optimized work flows and truly original perspectives on content. I'll probably be rolling most of these web design experiments on the Ampersand Show website first. More on this in the future.
